Save $50 on this Ryzen 7 2700X CPU and Asus ROG X470 motherboard combo

A great foundation for a high-end gaming PC.

It's always worth checking Newegg's combo deals when pricing out parts for a new PC or a major upgrade. Right now, for example, you can score a $50 discount on a potent processor and motherboard bundle, provided you want to build a system around AMD parts.
The combo offer consists of a Ryzen 7 2700X CPU and Asus ROG Strix X470-F Gaming motherboard, both of which are high-end components. To recap, the Ryzen 7 2700X sits atop AMD's second generation Ryzen desktop lineup (in the mainstream category) with 8 cores and 16 threads clocked at 3.7GHz to 4.3GHz. It also comes with a Wraith Prism air cooler.
As for the motherboard, it offers plenty of plenty of bells and whistles for a gaming PC, including reinforced PCIe x16 slots, three M.2 sockets, one-click overclocking, and of course RGB lighting.
Normally these two parts would sell for $509.98, and that's about what you'd pay even if shopping around. The combo offer has them priced at $459.98.
You can grab this combo here. If you need a SSD, check out Crucial's 1TB MX500, which is on sale for $151 through Wednesday.
